All employees are provided a network login, which is required to access the campus
network from your computer. Once logged in you will have access to email, network
printing and network storage. Your network login is also used for
Web Reporting, PantherNet and email through WebAccess.
Logins
are created for new employees and that information is given to the
supervisor at the time of account creation. For security
purposes, therefor, we strongly encourage you to change your network password. Read the
related article below to learn how to change your password.
Important Network Login Reminders
- If you are having trouble logging into the network make sure “caps lock” is turned off!
- Use safe passwords to ensure the integrity of your network
account. If someone can guess your login or see it posted in your
office, they can then have access to any information you have rights to
on the network, and can use your account for purposes in violation of
our “Appropriate Use Policy”.
- Don’t forget to logout of the network when finished using your
computer (START button> “Log off Username”). Failing to do so
also leaves your network account susceptible to inappropriate
use.
- If you are leaving your computer for a few moments, be sure to
lock your system. You can do this by pressing the Windows icon
key on your keyboard and the letter "L" at the same time. To
unlock your system, press CTL+ALT+DEL and enter your network password.
