Computer Allocation Process Print E-mail

The personal computer has become an indispensable tool for carrying out the educational and administrative operation of the college. As computers age, they become more prone to failure and the support costs rise. Also, as time goes on, the hardware demands placed on the system by the software increases with each new application and each new release. Because of this, a personal computer needs to be upgraded or replaced on a periodic basis in order to maintain the productivity of the end user.

The Information Technology Policy and Allocation Committee has established a process for faculty and staff to request updated computers as you have need. The policy covering this process can be found here on our website. College employees will have the opportunity to request a computer upgrade twice a year, once in the Fall and once in the Spring (see the schedule below).
