Greenville College Music Department to Present "A Spring
Festival of Choral and Instrumental Music" on Sunday, April
27

Ensembles of the Greenville College Music Department will present
"A Spring Festival of Choral and Instrumental Music" on
Sunday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Greenville
Free Methodist Church.
The concert will include instrumental and choral music from America,
England, Scotland, Germany, Hungary and Russia written by such renowned
composers as Aaron Copland, John Rutter, G. F. Handel, Ludwig van
Beethoven, Béla Bartók and P.I. Tchaikovsky. Musical
styles will range from popular baroque and classical selections
to folk and gospel song arrangements.
More than 120 college and community musicians will be featured
in a number of Greenville College musical ensembles -- including
the College Choir, Chamber Singers, Chorale, Concert Band, String
Ensemble and the Brass Ensemble. The performance will be directed
by Professors Karen Gauen, Joe Noble, Chris Woods and Jeff Wilson.
Professor Yeeseon Kwon and students Elizabeth Goodenough and Melody
Chang will serve as accompanists.
No admission will be charged for the event. For more information
