Greenville College has recently partnered with
Google to provide Gmail accounts for our student email solution. This
decision was reached after much discussion and research, and in collaboration with the Alumni Office.
We are excited
about this change. Utilizing Gmail provides some
great advantages to our students:
- More storage capacity- email account will
increase almost 70x in capacity and allow students to backup class documents.
- Lifetime accounts-students will be able to maintain email accounts after graduation.
- Better spam filtering.
- Utilization
of Google's other applications- students can take advantage of "Docs
& Spreadsheets", chat, and personal calendar.
